What is Amaranth?
Amaranth, also known as Edible Red No. 2 (Japan), Edible Red No. 9, Acid Red, Bayberry Red, Cockscomb Red, Blue Acid Red, is a water-soluble Food Additives azo colorant. The chemical name is 1-(4'-sulfonic acid-1'-naphthalenazo)-2-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid trisodium salt. my country stipulates that amaranth can be used for the coloring of fruity water, fruity powder, sherbet, soda, mixed wine, candy, pastry, red and green silk, canned food, concentrated fruit juice, green plum, etc. It is made by diazotization of 1-amino 4-naphthalenesulfonic acid and 2-naphthol 3,6-disulfonic acid coupling.
Product function and application
Amaranth is mainly used as food additives Food Colorant:
1. Frozen drinks (except edible ice);
